You must be 17 in order to get your driver's license, but a lot of teens don't bother because it's not common for people that young to have cars anyway.
A closet is called a "wardrobe." My host mom told me to look in the wardrobe the other day, I had to ask her what she was talking about. I thought she was talking about a linen closet. I guess I didn't use much common sense there.

There are public "toilets" outside. You can pay to use them for up to 20 minutes (I would hate to have to be in there that long). You can put your money in, and then the mechanical door slides open. They're actually pretty nice, but I haven't used one yet.
The acting in Irish TV shows isn't too great.

It is very common to hang dry clothes.
"Fancy" is a very common word.
They use the word "loads" when they are explaining that there is a lot of something.
